Description Physicians Across Continents (PAC) is an international medical humanitarian organization dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare to people affected by crises and disasters, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity. Founded in 2003 by a passionate group of medical professionals, we aim to assist in the provision of, specialized surgical operations, health care, medical equipment, facilities, and services. We also aim to advance the education of medical professionals through the provision of educational programmes and in-service training. Our work also focuses on both development and humanitarian medical assistance to improve the quality of life for those who are suffering from poor health provisions. In the early years, PAC gained a reputation for rapid responses, particularly in humanitarian crises, sending medical teams to deliver surgical operations and emergency care to those in dire situations. This has laid the organization for its continued success in various regions. Over the years, PAC has extended its operations to more than 42 countries, including Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Liberia, Guinea, Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Malawi, Comoros, Sierra Leone, Libya, Tunisia, Syria, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, India, and Yemen. PAC has also established a presence in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UK, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Malawi, Nigeria, and Turkey, tailoring its services to the specific healthcare needs of local populations. We conducted over 200 medical and surgical camps, performing more than 100,000 surgeries and serving over 1 million beneficiaries. Additionally, we support national health facilities in countries where we have a presence, contributing to improving the uptake of health services and strengthening the local health system. These efforts reflect the profound impact PAC has had on global health and well-being for all. As we look to the future, PAC remains dedicated to improving healthcare access and outcomes for the most vulnerable, continuing its legacy of compassion, resilience, and innovation.
