| Description | HiH Swe is a Swedish civil society organisation based in Stockholm. We have been dedicated to combating poverty through entrepreneurship and job creation with local partners for more than 20 years. Our vision is a world where every individual has the power and means to rise out of poverty, enabling future generations to thrive and contribute to a sustainable future. Our organisation focuses on empowering women and youth by providing them with the organisational structure and support, knowledge, skills, and capacity to develop as entrepreneurs. This cost-effective approach enhances their livelihoods, allows them to demand their rights and fosters community development in a sustainable manner. Currently, HiH Swe supports partner organisations in Kenya, Tanzania, India, South Africa, and Afghanistan. Our work is based on a Rights Based Approach, with Self-Help Groups and entrepreneurship training forming the foundation of our objectives. We ensure that our guiding principles of gender equality, climate change and environmental awareness, human rights and conflict sensitivity are interwoven into interventions we support. |
